o u r m i s s i o n s t a t e m e n t The poetry is where you find it, dude. In other words: Poetry is not and should not be just for an overeducated elite who use it to set themselves apart from other people. Poetry is something you can find, and make, in everyday life. Poetry is not just words: it comes from the Greek word 'to make.' (Talk about overeducated.) Poetry can be anything. Low Overhead Poetry recommends making stuff instead of buying stuff since lots of stuff people buy, you don't even need anyway. Food, probably, you do still need, even with poetry. But if you're going to have something useless, why not make it instead of buying it? Poetry's useless and it doesn't cost a thing! Make poems, not war..... really. Pink is in. From rebecca - 8/16/04 10:53 AM well, that wasn't exactly what we meant, but we could probably go along with that too.

Shouldn't this say: Poetry is not and should not be just for an overeducated underclass who use it to compensate for having been set apart from other people by their rejection of mainstream American consumerism. ?
